• Sunil Shetty and Karisma Kapoor first worked together in 'Gopi Kishan' (1994), but the pairing almost didn't happen. The director, Mukesh Duggal, initially wanted a different actress opposite Sunil. Karisma was brought in last minute after the original choice backed out, and the film became their first hit together.
• In 'Rakshak' (1996), Sunil played a deaf-mute bodyguard, and Karisma had to carry most of the dialogue-heavy scenes. She later said in an interview that she had to slow down her usual fast-paced delivery to match his silent, physical performance, which made their scenes feel more intense.
