Ranjith deliberately paired them as Rajinikanth's loyal lieutenants because he wanted actors who could match each other's intensity in silence — not just dialogue delivery.
• In Viswasam (2019), Sampath Raj played the villain and Aravind Akash played the hero's brother-in-law. They never shared a single scene together — but their characters' off-screen tension was built through a clever editing trick: Sampath's menacing voice was dubbed over Aravind's fight sequences to create a psychological rivalry that never actually happened on set.
• During the shoot of RK Nagar (2020), both actors stayed in the same hotel room for three weeks. Aravind Akash later revealed in an interview that they would rehearse their scenes at 2 AM in the corridor because the room was too small — and that's how they developed the rapid-fire banter in the film's climax.
