• Sushanth was a newcomer when Tanikella Bharani recommended him for 'Current' (2009). Bharani had seen Sushanth's earlier work and told the director, 'This kid has the hunger.' That recommendation got Sushanth the role.

On set, Bharani would deliberately stay in character between takes — not speaking to Sushanth — to keep the tension real.
