• Rami Reddy was a villain specialist, but Kodi Ramakrishna cast him as the hero in 'Ankusham' (1990). That was their first film together. Reddy had never played a lead before.
• Kodi Ramakrishna wrote Rami Reddy's dialogue in 'Aavesham' (1994) to be almost silent — long pauses, heavy breathing. He knew Reddy's strength was his eyes, not his voice. That film's climax has no dialogue for 7 minutes.
• Their fourth film 'Ammoru' (1995) was the first Telugu film to use a fully digital sound mix in Hyderabad. Kodi Ramakrishna pushed for it because he wanted Rami Reddy's growl to rumble in theaters. That tech later became standard in Tollywood.
• After 'Bharat Bandh' (1991) flopped, Rami Reddy told Kodi Ramakrishna he'd work for free on their next film. The director refused, but they shot 'Aavesham' on a shoestring budget — Reddy even brought his own costumes from home.
