• Anushka Shetty and M. S. Narayana first shared screen space in 'Swagatham' (2008), but they barely had a scene together — Narayana played a comic sidekick while Anushka was the leading lady. Their real pairing started in 'Chintakayala Ravi' (2008), where Narayana’s character was written specifically to bounce off Anushka’s energy after the director saw their awkward but funny off-screen banter on the 'Swagatham' set.
• In 'Chintakayala Ravi' (2008), Narayana would deliberately flub his lines during rehearsals to make Anushka laugh, and the director kept those genuine giggles in the final cut. She set the straight-faced rhythm; he broke it with timing. That push-pull became their signature in all three films.
