• Their first film together, Manoharam (2000), was a disaster at the box office. But Brahmaji later said that Jagapathi Babu personally called him after the flop and said, 'We’ll do better next time.' That call kept their partnership alive for over two decades.
• In Aravindha Sametha (2018), Jagapathi Babu played the cold-blooded villain, while Brahmaji played his comic sidekick. The trick? Brahmaji improvised most of his lines on set, and Jagapathi Babu would react in real time. Director Trivikram let the camera roll because their back-and-forth was too good to script.
• Their pairing in Legend (2014) directly led to Balakrishna casting both of them again in his next film. Balakrishna told the media he loved how Jagapathi Babu’s intensity and Brahmaji’s timing balanced each other out. That’s how they ended up together in Saakshyam (2018) — a hit.
• On the sets of Ra Ra Krishnayya (2014), Jagapathi Babu and Brahmaji shared a room for the entire shoot. Brahmaji later revealed they’d stay up late discussing old Telugu films, and Jagapathi Babu would cook eggs for them at 2 AM. No one else on the crew knew.
• Brahmaji once said in an interview: 'Jagapathi Babu is the only co-star who calls me before every film release to check if I’m nervous. He’s done it for 20 years. Even for Hero (2022), he called me the night before.'
• In Maharshi (2019), they played rivals — Jagapathi Babu as the corporate shark, Brahmaji as his bumbling henchman. The scene where Brahmaji accidentally spills coffee on Jagapathi Babu’s suit was not in the script. Brahmaji actually tripped. Jagapathi Babu stayed in character and yelled at him for real. The director kept it in the final cut.
