Mallikarjuna Rao (1951–2008) was a Telugu cinema actor and comedian from Kasimkota, Andhra Pradesh, who appeared in approximately 375 Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam films over a career spanning 35 years beginning in 1973. He won the Nandi Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Tammudu (1999) and was widely recognized for his comic role in Ladies Tailor, directed by Vamsi, which earned him the popular nickname 'Battala Satti'. He appeared in a wide range of films including Badri (2000), Johnny (2003), and Baladur (2008), consistently playing supporting and comedic roles alongside leading Telugu stars. He served as General Secretary of the Telugu Movie Artists Association (MAA) and passed away on June 24, 2008, after battling leukaemia.
