• For Sethu (1999), director Bala originally wanted a different actor for the role that went to Sriman. Vikram, who was already cast as the lead, personally pushed for Sriman after seeing his work in a small role. Sriman later said Vikram's insistence got him the part.
• In Pudhiya Mannargal (1994), Vikram and Sriman played brothers with contrasting temperaments. Vikram, the more experienced actor at the time, deliberately slowed down his delivery in scenes to match Sriman's natural rhythm, creating a believable sibling dynamic.
