• Suresh Krissna first cast Brahmanandam in 'Amma' (1991) because he needed a comedian who could hold his own against a heavy emotional drama. Brahmanandam was already a stage actor, but this film gave him his first major break in Telugu cinema as a full-time comedian.
• On the sets of 'Dharma Chakram' (1996), Brahmanandam would rewrite his own lines on the spot, and Suresh Krissna let him. The director later said he learned to just give Brahmanandam a scene outline and let him fill in the jokes — it always worked better than the script.
• After 'Raghavendra' (2003), Suresh Krissna moved back to Tamil cinema almost full-time. Brahmanandam and he never worked together again, but Krissna still calls him before every Telugu project to ask for a cameo — Brahmanandam always says yes, but the dates never match.
• Suresh Krissna once told a fan: 'Brahmanandam doesn't act. He just stands there and the audience laughs. I just had to point the camera at him.' He said this in a 2017 interview about his Telugu films.
