• They first shared screen space in Julai (2012) because director Trivikram Srinivas specifically wrote Saptagiri's role as a sidekick to M. S. Narayana's character — the two had never worked together before, and Trivikram bet on their contrasting energies to carry the comedy track.
• In Venkatadri Express (2013), M. S. Narayana would set up a joke with his slow, deadpan delivery, and Saptagiri would pounce on the punchline with rapid-fire energy — they never rehearsed together; Narayana told Saptagiri on set, 'You react to whatever I say, don't plan it.'
