• Ali and Vennela Kishore first shared screen space in 'Jaffa' (2013) because the director wanted two comedians who could bounce off each other without stepping on each other's lines. Ali was the senior, Kishore the rising guy — and they clicked so well that the director wrote extra scenes for them mid-shoot.
• In 'Doosukeltha' (2013), Ali played the loud, fast-talking sidekick while Vennela Kishore played the deadpan, slow-burn foil. Kishore later said in an interview that Ali deliberately slowed his own delivery in scenes to make Kishore's pauses land harder — a trick no other co-star did for him.
