• Solo (2011) was supposed to launch a different hero. Srinivasa Reddy, who co-wrote the film, pushed hard for Nara Rohit after seeing his intensity in a short film. Rohit was hesitant — he wanted a bigger launch — but Reddy convinced him the script was a sleeper hit waiting to happen.
• In Sarocharu (2012), Reddy played the comic sidekick who constantly undercuts Rohit's brooding hero. The trick? Reddy would deliberately flub his lines in the first take to make Rohit laugh, then nail the second take with Rohit still loose and off-guard. That unpolished energy made their banter feel real.
