• They were thrown together in three films in a single year — 1985 — because both were hot off major hits and producers wanted to bottle that lightning. Wafadaar, Insaaf Main Karoonga, and Do Dilon Ki Dastaan all released within months of each other.
• In Wafadaar (1985), Shakti played the villain while Padmini played the love interest — a rare dynamic where the hero's friend (Shakti) secretly pines for her. That tension between his on-screen menace and his off-screen softness for her became their signature.
• Padmini Kolhapure has said in interviews that Shakti Kapoor was the only co-star who would bring her homemade food on set. He'd pack extra parathas from his wife's kitchen because he thought she looked too thin during the 1985 shoots.
