• In Ram Lakhan (1989), Paresh Rawal and Dalip Tahil were cast as brothers by Subhash Ghai. But here's the twist — they barely shared screen time. Ghai shot their scenes separately and edited them together. They didn't actually act opposite each other until Prem Qaidi (1991).
• In Raja (1995), Tahil played the strict father and Rawal played the comic sidekick. They had zero scenes together. The director Indra Kumar later admitted he kept them apart because their acting styles clashed — Tahil was loud and theatrical, Rawal was subtle and reactive. They never found a rhythm.
• Despite four films together, Paresh Rawal and Dalip Tahil never once had a meal together off-set. Tahil told a journalist in 2002 that they were 'professional acquaintances, not friends.' Rawal confirmed this in a 2015 interview, saying they just never clicked personally.
• Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani (2000) was the only film where they actually shared a scene — a courtroom argument. That scene was so flat that director Aziz Mirza cut it down to 30 seconds in the final edit. It's the reason neither actor worked together again.
