• Srividya was the one who suggested Mansoor Ali Khan for the lead in Naalaiya Theerpu (1992). The director was unsure about casting a newcomer opposite her, but she insisted after seeing his stage work.
• On the sets of Moondravadhu Kann (1993), Mansoor Ali Khan kept forgetting his lines. Srividya would quietly feed him the dialogue under her breath during close-ups. The director let it slide because her timing saved every take.
• During the shoot of Maanbumigu Maanavan (1996), Srividya cooked biryani for the entire crew every Friday. Mansoor Ali Khan later said those lunches were the only reason he survived the gruelling schedule.
