• Jayashree and Jayasree were cast together for the first time in Nambinar Keduvathillai (1986) because the director wanted two actresses who looked like they could be sisters — and both happened to share the same name. The casting was a happy accident.
• In Panneer Nadhigal (1986), Jayashree played the serious, grounded sister while Jayasree played the bubbly, impulsive one. They reportedly rehearsed their arguments in real time — Jayasree would improvise a line, and Jayashree would counter it on the spot. The director kept the camera rolling.
• During the shoot of Thirumathi Oru Vegumathi (1987), the two actresses shared a vanity van because the budget was too tight for separate ones. They ended up bonding over their shared frustration with the film's weak script — and promised each other they'd never do a movie that bad again.
