• Sundar C. didn't write Anjali's role in Aayudham Seivom (2008) for her. He saw her in a small Telugu film and rewrote the entire female lead just to cast her. She was the first and only choice after that.
• On the sets of Kalakalappu (2012), Sundar C. realized Anjali was a natural at physical comedy. He started writing longer, unbroken takes for her — no cuts, just her reacting in real time. That scene where she chases Vimal with a ladle? One take.
• Anjali calls Sundar C. 'Sir' even today, but he insists she call him 'Anna' (brother). She refused for years. He finally got her to say it during the dubbing of Madha Gaja Raja (2017) — and then immediately made her re-record the line because she laughed mid-sentence.
• Kalakalappu (2012) was the film that proved Sundar C. could still make a hit comedy after a string of flops. Anjali's performance in that film directly led to her being cast in Vadacurry (2014) — the director saw her comic timing and wrote a role around it.
