Madha Gaja Raja is a 2025 Indian Tamil-language action comedy film directed by Sundar C. The film stars Vishal in the lead role, alongside Santhanam, Anjali, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Sonu Sood. The story follows Madha Gaja Raja, a village strongman who takes on a corrupt media baron named Karukuvel Vishwanath. Raja helps his school friends who have been wronged by Vishwanath. The film was originally shot in 2012 but faced a 12-year delay due to legal and financial issues. It was finally released on 12 January 2025 during the Pongal weekend. Despite its outdated style, the film was a commercial success, grossing over ₹75 crore worldwide. It received mixed reviews, with praise for its nostalgic comedy and criticism for its politically incorrect jokes.
