Santhanam was already a star comedian, but Karunakaran was still a relative newcomer — Ravikumar specifically paired them to give Karunakaran a launchpad alongside an established name.
• In Inimey Ippadithaan (2015), Santhanam played the straight-laced, frustrated husband while Karunakaran was the chaotic, irresponsible friend.
