• They first shared screen space in 'Army' (1996), but neither was the original choice for their roles. The director, Raam Shetty, cast them only after the first choices—Suniel Shetty and Akshay Kumar—backed out due to scheduling conflicts.
• In 'Army', Tinnu Anand played the villainous cop who tortures Mohnish Bahl's character. Their scenes together are a masterclass in tension: Anand's slow, theatrical menace forced Bahl to play his victim with a quiet, trembling restraint—the opposite of Bahl's usual loud heroics.
• Their only film as co-leads, 'Ek Hindustani' (2002), was a direct remake of the Tamil hit 'Bharateeyudu'. Because of their pairing, the Hindi version got a wider release in Tamil Nadu—where both actors had fan followings from dubbed films—and it ran for 50 days in Chennai.
