• Suseenthiran first noticed Aruldoss as a background dancer in a TV show. He cast him in Naan Mahaan Alla (2010) without a proper audition — just told him to stand still and look intense. That single scene got Aruldoss his first real break.
• On the sets of Azhagarsamiyin Kudhirai (2011), Suseenthiran realized Aruldoss could do comedy without dialogue. He let the actor improvise the horse-chase scene entirely — Aruldoss’s physical timing turned a simple chase into the film’s most replayed moment.
• Their partnership directly launched the career of composer Yuvan Shankar Raja’s lesser-known lyricist, Viveka. Suseenthiran insisted on using Viveka for Naan Mahaan Alla after Aruldoss recommended him — that film’s song 'Unna Nenachu' became Viveka’s first big hit.
• After Rajapattai (2011) flopped, Aruldoss called Suseenthiran and said, 'I’m the reason your film failed. Don’t cast me again.' Suseenthiran replied, 'You’re the reason I’ll cast you again.' They made Paayum Puli (2015) four years later — their last film together.
• Aruldoss once told a magazine: 'Suseenthiran sees me as a prop, not an actor. A good prop. He’d say, 'Stand here, don’t blink, let the camera do the rest.' I learned to act by not acting.'
