• They first met on the set of 'Hulchul' (1995) when Arshad was a complete newcomer. Ajay, already a star, personally recommended him to the director after seeing his audition. That one nod got Arshad his first break.
• In the 'Golmaal' series, Ajay played the straight man to Arshad's chaos. Arshad improvised most of his lines on set, and Ajay would deliberately pause his reactions to let the jokes land harder. That rhythm is why their scenes feel so natural.
