• Their first film together, Bin Bulaye Baraati (2011), was a chaotic comedy where both played wedding crashers. Director Chandrakant Singh cast them specifically because he wanted two actors who could look equally comfortable in a cheap suit and a stolen buffet plate.
• On the set of Gun Pe Done (2019), Sanjay Mishra told a journalist that Vijay Raaz would deliberately flub a line in the first take just to make him laugh — and then they'd build the whole scene around that mistake. Mishra said that looseness is what made their timing click.

• In Baankey Ki Crazy Baraat (2015), they played rival wedding planners. The entire climax was improvised — they kept topping each other's insults until the director had to cut because the crew was laughing too loud. That scene is the only one in the film that wasn't scripted.
