Anwar(2007)
Anwar is a 2007 Indian Hindi-language romantic thriller film written and directed by Manish Jha. The film stars Siddharth Koirala, Nauheed Cyrusi, Manisha Koirala, and Rajpal Naurang Yadav. Set in a small town, the story follows a middle-class Muslim boy who falls in love with a Hindu girl, only to be betrayed and later accused of a crime he did not commit. The film is notable for its raw depiction of religious prejudice and mob mentality. It received mixed reviews but was praised for its honest storytelling and strong performances. Storyline
A gentle Muslim boy named Anwar falls in love with a Hindu girl named Mehru. But Mehru runs away with his best friend. After a tragedy, Anwar is blamed for the crime and hunted by the police. He must fight to prove his innocence in a world that has already judged him.
