• Mohnish Bahl was the one who pushed for Mithun Chakraborty to be cast in 'Ahankaar' (1995). The director wanted a younger hero, but Bahl insisted Mithun's intensity was perfect for the villain role.
• In 'Diya Aur Toofan' (1995), Mithun played the loud, action-heavy hero while Mohnish played the quiet, brooding antagonist. They deliberately swapped their usual screen personas — Mithun held back his comic timing, Mohnish dialed up his menace.
