• Farhan Akhtar didn't want to cast Hrithik in Lakshya (2004). He thought the 'Greek god' image was wrong for a confused army brat. Hrithik auditioned twice, shaved his head, and even put on weight to prove he could look ordinary. Farhan finally gave in after seeing him mumble through a scene like a real lost kid.
• On the sets of Luck by Chance (2009), Hrithik would deliberately flub his lines in the first take. He told Farhan it made him feel 'alive' — like a real struggling actor. Farhan would then reset the scene, and Hrithik would nail it on take two. They built a rhythm where one broke the ice and the other caught the pieces.
• Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011) directly inspired the entire 'bromance road trip' genre in Bollywood. Before ZNMD, no mainstream Hindi film had three male friends going on a vacation without a love triangle. After it, you got films like Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani (2013) and Dil Chahta Hai (which Farhan himself made earlier, but ZNMD made it a trend again).
• During the Lakshya shoot in Ladakh, Hrithik and Farhan shared a tiny room for two months. No air conditioning, no phone signal. They'd play chess every night using bottle caps as pieces. Farhan still has that bottle-cap set at his office. Hrithik says it's the only time he's ever beaten Farhan at anything.
• In Luck by Chance, Hrithik played a narcissistic superstar. Farhan deliberately cast him against his real-life 'humble' image. During the scene where Hrithik's character throws a tantrum on set, Farhan whispered to him before the take: 'Remember the time you yelled at a spot boy for bringing cold coffee?' Hrithik froze — then delivered the most unhinged performance of his career.
