• Prem Chopra was 20 years older than Amrita Singh, but in Betaab (1983), he played her father. That film was her debut and his comeback as a character actor — she was launched by the same director (Rahul Rawail) who cast him as the villain.
• In Mard (1985), Prem played the main villain opposite Amrita's love interest. Their scenes together had zero romance — she was chasing Amitabh Bachchan while Prem was trying to kill him. They never shared a single romantic or friendly moment on screen across all five films.
• Amrita Singh once said in an interview that Prem Chopra was the only co-star who would call her 'beta' (child) on set, even while playing her father or enemy. He also gave her tips on how to handle the press during her early fame.
