• Dulari was a veteran character actress who had already worked for decades when she was paired with the then-newcomer Mithun in 'Hum Se Badkar Kaun' (1981). The director cast them as mother and son specifically to give Mithun's raw energy a grounding emotional anchor.
• In 'Aadat Se Majboor' (1982), Dulari played Mithun's mother again, but this time she deliberately slowed down her dialogue delivery to match his fast, impulsive style. She later told a trade magazine that she 'had to become his rhythm' to make their scenes feel real.
• On the sets of 'Lal Chunariyaa' (1983), Dulari would bring homemade sweets for the entire crew every Friday. Mithun once said she treated him like her own son off-camera too, and he called her 'Maa' even when the director yelled 'cut'.
• Mithun Chakraborty said in a 1986 interview: 'Dulari ji didn't just act with me — she taught me how to cry on cue without glycerin. I learned more from her in one scene than from any acting class.'
• Their fourth and final film together, 'Dilwaala' (1986), was the only one where Dulari played a comic role instead of a mother. That shift inspired director K. Bapaiah to cast her in a similar comic part in his next film, starting a late-career pivot for her into comedy.
