• Asrani and Vikas Anand first shared screen space in Majaal (1987) because the director needed a pair of comic sidekicks who could bounce off each other without stepping on the hero's lines. Asrani later said Vikas was the only actor who could match his rhythm without rehearsal.
• In Pyar Ka Karz (1990), Asrani played the nervous sidekick while Vikas Anand played the loud, overconfident one. They deliberately swapped their usual comic personas — Asrani held back his energy so Vikas could dominate the frame, then exploded on the punchline. It became their signature trick.
• On the sets of Beta Ho To Aisa (1994), Asrani and Vikas Anand shared a room during outdoor shoots. Vikas would wake up at 4 AM to rehearse his lines aloud, and Asrani would throw chappals at him from the other bed. They kept this ritual for all four films.
• Their double-act in Daanveer (1996) was so well-timed that the film's editor, V.N. Mayekar, later used their scene as a reference for comic timing in training reels for new editors at Film City.
