• Ranjeeta Kaur was the one who pushed for Deepak Bahry to be cast opposite her in 'Tarana' (1979). The producers wanted a bigger name, but she insisted he had the right intensity for the role.
• On the set of 'Hum Se Badkar Kaun' (1981), Deepak Bahry would deliberately flub his lines in the first take just to make Ranjeeta laugh — she then relaxed and delivered her best takes. He called it 'loosening the spring'.
