• Alok Nath and Avtar Gill first shared screen space in 'Chor Aur Chaand' (1993) because the director needed two actors who could play morally grey sidekicks without stealing focus from the lead. Both were cast on the same day after a single audition.
• In 'Chauraha' (1994), Alok Nath would deliberately slow down his dialogue delivery to let Avtar Gill's louder, more frantic energy bounce off him. Gill later said Nath's calm made him look funnier without trying.
