Shortkut is a 2009 Indian Hindi-language comedy film directed by Neeraj Vora and produced by Anil Kapoor. The film stars Akshaye Khanna, Arshad Warsi, and Amrita Rao in lead roles. The story follows Shekhar, an assistant director whose script is stolen by his actor friend Raju. Raju becomes a superstar while Shekhar struggles for recognition. The film is an uncredited remake of the Malayalam film Udayananu Tharam. It was released on 10 July 2009 to negative reviews from critics. The soundtrack was composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy with lyrics by Javed Akhtar.

Storyline

Shekhar is a struggling assistant director with a brilliant script. His best friend Raju, a desperate actor, steals the script and becomes a superstar. Shekhar must find a way to expose the truth and get his credit back. He plans a secret film that will humiliate Raju and prove his own talent.
