• They first shared screen space in LOC Kargil (2003), but their only real scene together was cut from the final release. Director J.P. Dutta shot a sequence where Dutt’s character hands over a command to Khanna’s — it never made the edit.
• In Deewaar (2004), Dutt played the loud, impulsive brother while Khanna played the quiet, calculating one. Khanna later said Dutt’s energy on set forced him to underplay every line — he realized silence would hit harder next to Dutt’s roar.
