Nanban is a 2012 Tamil comedy-drama film directed by Shankar. It is a remake of Rajkumar Hirani's 3 Idiots (2009), which itself was adapted from the novel Five Point Someone – What not to do at IIT! by Chetan Bhagat. featuring Vijay, Jiiva, Srikanth, Ileana D'Cruz, Sathyan and Sathyaraj.

Storyline
Two friends set out to find a third friend who disappeared after college. Along the way, they remember their time together as students. Their search leads to a run-in with an old rival, a chaotic funeral, and a wedding they have to interrupt.
