Trivia

  • The film's plot was inspired by the 2000 Hollywood movie 'The Whole Nine Yards', which also features characters with amnesia.
  • It was one of the first major Bollywood films to be shot extensively using a 'Steadicam' for a disorienting, fluid visual style.
  • Actor Manoj Bajpayee was initially considered for a key role, but the part eventually went to a different performer.
  • The movie's title refers to a chemical factory setting, but very few actual industrial locations were used for filming.
  • Despite its ensemble cast, the film performed poorly at the box office and was not widely released internationally.
  • Director Suparn Verma stated the challenge was to keep the audience guessing without confusing them due to the memory-loss premise.
  • The tight, single-location shooting schedule was completed in a remarkably short period of under 40 days.
