Vettai (2012) is a Tamil-language masala film written, co-produced, and directed by N. Lingusamy. The film stars Arya and R. Madhavan in lead roles, with Sameera Reddy, Amala Paul, and Ashutosh Rana in supporting parts. The story follows two brothers in Thoothukudi: Thirumurthy, a timid police constable, and Gurumurthy, his fearless younger brother who secretly does the dangerous police work. Their dynamic is tested when a powerful gangster discovers the truth. The film features music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematography by Nirav Shah. Vettai was a commercial success, released on 14 January 2012 during Pongal, and was later remade in Telugu as Tadakha (2013) and in Hindi as Baaghi 3 (2020).

Storyline
