Krrish is a 2006 Indian Hindi-language superhero action thriller film directed and produced by Rakesh Roshan. The film stars Hrithik Roshan in a dual role as Krishna Mehra and his father Rohit Mehra, alongside Priyanka Chopra, Naseeruddin Shah, Rekha, and Sharat Saxena. It is the second installment in the Krrish franchise and a sequel to Koi... Mil Gaya. The story follows Krishna, who inherits superhuman abilities from his father and becomes the masked hero Krrish to stop the evil scientist Dr. Siddhant Arya from using a future-predicting supercomputer for destruction. The film was a landmark for Indian cinema, pioneering the mainstream superhero genre and setting a new benchmark for visual effects with over 1,200 VFX shots. It was shot extensively in Singapore and India, with action choreographed by Hong Kong veteran Tony Ching. Krrish received positive reviews, won the National Film Award for Best Special Effects, and grossed ₹126 crore worldwide, becoming the second highest-grossing Indian film of 2006. The film was released on 23 June 2006.

Storyline

Krishna Mehra is a young man with superhuman powers living in a remote village. He falls in love with Priya and follows her to Singapore, where he becomes the masked hero Krrish to save people. But his secret draws the attention of Dr. Siddhant Arya, a mad scientist who has been hunting Krishna's family for 20 years. Krrish must stop Arya from using a supercomputer that can see the future and rescue his long-lost father.
