- The film's climax was shot in London's famous Wembley Stadium area, which was unusual for a Bollywood movie at the time.
- Actor Sanjay Kapoor, who played the lead, reportedly performed many of his own stunts for the action sequences.
- The movie's title 'Kartoos' means 'bullet' in Hindi, symbolizing the protagonist's role as a weapon for the police.
- This was one of the few films where Mahesh Bhatt served only as director and not also as a writer.
- The soundtrack featured a song by the popular singer Kumar Sanu, but the album did not achieve major commercial success.
- The plot was loosely inspired by real-life incidents of terrorism and undercover operations in the 1990s.
- Despite its action-thriller genre, the film included a romantic subplot that was central to the protagonist's motivation.
