The story follows the members of a Mumbai dance troupe, where choreographer Rahul believes in true love. He casts Pooja, a dancer engaged to another man, in his new play. A love triangle develops between Rahul, Pooja, and his best friend Nisha. The film was praised for its direction, music, and performances. It won 8 Filmfare Awards and 3 National Film Awards, including Best Popular Film. It was the highest-grossing Hindi film of 1997. Storyline
Rahul, a passionate choreographer, believes in true love. He directs a play about a girl waiting for her prince. Pooja, a shy dancer, joins his troupe. She is engaged to her childhood friend Ajay. As they rehearse, Rahul and Pooja fall in love. Nisha, Rahul's best friend, is heartbroken. Ajay arrives, and Rahul must fight for his love.
