Trivia
- This was the only film directed by Kalptaru, who was better known as a producer and distributor in the industry.
- The film's title 'Ghar Ki Izzat' translates to 'Family's Honor', a common theme in many 90s family dramas.
- Actors Jeetendra and Rishi Kapoor, who play brothers here, had previously starred together in several successful films like 'Karz'.
- Juhi Chawla's character Gita is a child-widow, a social issue sometimes addressed in Hindi cinema of that era.
- The movie reunited actors Asha Parekh and Kader Khan, who had worked together in many films from the 70s and 80s.
- Despite a star-studded cast, the film is not widely remembered and had a relatively low profile upon release.
- The plot revolves around conflicts brought by new daughters-in-law, a storyline similar to the 1975 film 'Pratiggya'.
