'Beta' (1992) is a Hindi drama film directed by Indra Kumar. The lead cast includes Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, and Aruna Irani. The story follows Raju, a wealthy son who is manipulated by his greedy stepmother Lakshmi Devi. She plots to steal his inheritance while pretending to love him. The film is an official remake of the 1987 Tamil film 'Enga Chinna Rasa'. It was the highest-grossing Indian film of 1992, earning ₹23.5 crore. At the 38th Filmfare Awards, it won five awards including Best Actor and Best Actress. The soundtrack, composed by Anand-Milind, was the second best-selling album of the year. The film was released on 3 April 1992.

Storyline
Raju is a wealthy young man who desperately wants a mother's love. His stepmother Lakshmi Devi pretends to love him while secretly plotting to steal his fortune. When Raju marries the smart and educated Saraswati, she uncovers the truth. Saraswati must save Raju from his blind trust and expose the family of liars.
