Kumki is a 2012 Indian Tamil-language adventure romantic drama film written and directed by Prabhu Solomon. The film stars Vikram Prabhu in his acting debut and Lakshmi Menon as the female lead. The story follows a mahout and his trained elephant who are hired to protect a village from a rogue elephant. The film explores themes of man-animal conflict and the deep bond between a man and his elephant. Kumki was a critical and commercial success, winning seven Tamil Nadu State Film Awards and three Filmfare Awards South. The film was released on 14 December 2012 by Studio Green.

Storyline
A young mahout named Bomman travels with his beloved trained elephant Manickam to a remote village. The village is being terrorized by a rogue elephant that destroys crops and attacks people. Bomman must protect the villagers and his elephant while also falling in love with the village leader's daughter. His simple job turns into a fight for survival.
