Sondham Padhinaru(1989)
Sondham Padhinaru is a 1989 Indian Tamil-language family comedy film directed by T. S. Krishna Kumar. It stars Mohan as Varadarajan and introduces Kalyani as the female lead. The story follows an orphan who pretends to have 16 relatives to win his bride's father's approval. The film features a supporting cast including Manorama, Chandrasekhar, and Senthil. It was produced by Sri Durga Films and had music composed by Shankar–Ganesh. The film was noted for Mohan dubbing in his own voice, a rarity in his career. A review from Kalki magazine compared its style to a stage play.

Storyline
An orphan named Varadarajan falls in love with Sundari. Her father demands that the groom come from a large joint family. With no relatives of his own, Varadarajan hires his office colleagues to pose as his 16 family members. The fake relatives cause chaos and nearly ruin his chance at love.
