Thangamani Rangamani is a 1989 Indian Tamil-language comedy film directed and written by Rama Narayanan. The lead cast includes Murali as Rangamani and S. Ve. Shekher as Thangamani, with Pallavi, Devisri, S. S. Chandran, and Kovai Sarala in supporting roles. The story follows two close friends who tell lies to win the hearts of the women they love, leading to a series of comedic misunderstandings. The film is partially adapted from the 1984 Malayalam film Poochakkoru Mookkuthi. It was released on 14 April 1989 and features a soundtrack composed by Shankar–Ganesh with lyrics by Vaali.

Storyline

Two best friends, Rangamani and Thangamani, are both in love. Rangamani is poor but pretends to be the son of a rich businessman to marry his girlfriend. Thangamani falls for a woman he mistakenly thinks is wealthy. Their lies spiral out of control when the real businessman arrives in town.
