Kan Simittum Neram is a 1988 Indian Tamil-language thriller film directed by Kalaivanan Kannadasan in his directorial debut. The film stars Karthik, Ambika, and R. Sarathkumar in his Tamil cinema debut. The story follows a man who loses his memory after a failed murder attempt and is cared for by the woman he intended to kill. Inspector Sarath investigates the case and uncovers a web of deceit involving a fake photograph. The film was praised by Kalki magazine for its direction, photography, and suspense. It was released on 13 April 1988 and later remade in Hindi as Sailaab in 1990.

Storyline
A man named Raja tries to kill Lakshmi but kills her aunt by mistake. He loses his memory in an accident. Lakshmi, a doctor, names him Kannan and cares for him. Inspector Sarath discovers the truth: a fake photo destroyed Raja's family. When Raja's memory returns, he must choose between revenge and the woman who saved him.
