Ore Oru Gramathiley(1987)
Ore Oru Gramathiley is a 1987 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by K. Jyothi Pandian. It stars Lakshmi as Gayathri and Nizhalgal Ravi in supporting roles. The story follows a Brahmin girl who fakes her caste certificate to become an IAS officer. She changes her name to Karupayee and uses a false backward class identity. Years later, she becomes a respected District Collector, but an old servant blackmails her. The film was initially banned for criticizing caste reservations but was cleared by the Supreme Court after a revised climax. It won the National Film Award for Best Film on Other Social Issues. The soundtrack was composed by Ilaiyaraaja.

Storyline
