Poovizhi Vasalile(1987)
Poovizhi Vasalile is a 1987 Indian Tamil-language thriller film directed by Fazil. The film stars Sathyaraj, Sujitha, and Karthika in lead roles, with Raghuvaran and Babu Antony playing antagonists. The story follows a deaf-mute boy who witnesses his mother's murder and is adopted by a grieving alcoholic. The boy must evade the killers who want to silence him permanently. The film is a remake of the 1986 Malayalam film Poovinu Puthiya Poonthennal. It gained a cult following for its emotional storytelling and strong performances. The soundtrack was composed by Ilaiyaraaja. The film was released on 14 January 1987.

Storyline
A deaf-mute boy named Benny watches two killers murder his mother. He escapes into the streets, alone and terrified. A broken alcoholic named Jeeva finds him and adopts him as his own son. But the killers are still hunting for the boy. Jeeva must protect his new son from the men who want him dead.
