Shankar Guru is a 1987 Indian Tamil-language action film directed by L. Raja and produced by AVM Productions. The film stars Arjun Sarja, Seetha, Rajani, and Baby Shalini. The story follows a fruit seller who is secretly an undercover police inspector. He fights three cruel brothers who terrorize a village. He also helps a young girl reunite with her wrongly imprisoned father. The film was shot simultaneously in Telugu as Chinnari Devatha. It was praised as an unpretentious entertainer by critics. Chandrabose won the Cinema Express Award for Best Music Director for this film. Shankar Guru was released on 19 March 1987.

Storyline

A quiet fruit seller named Sankar Guru beats up a local bully. He discovers the bully is part of a gang of three brothers who rule the village. He becomes their enemy. As he fights them, he meets a little girl whose father was framed for murder. He promises to find her father and bring him home.
