
Mr. Bharath(1986)
Mr. Bharath is a 1986 Indian Tamil-language masala film directed by S. P. Muthuraman. The film stars Rajinikanth, Sathyaraj, and Ambika in lead roles. A remake of the 1978 Hindi film Trishul, the story follows Bharath, a son who seeks revenge against his biological father Gopinath for abandoning his mother Shanti after impregnating her. Bharath builds a competing construction business to destroy Gopinath's empire and force a public confession. The film features music composed by Ilaiyaraaja and was shot at locations including a farm house in Paarapatti village and Guindy Race Course in Madras. Mr. Bharath was released on 10 January 1986 during the Pongal festival and was a commercial success.

Storyline
Bharath discovers on his mother's deathbed that his father Gopinath cheated and abandoned her. He swears to make Gopinath publicly confess his crime. Bharath moves to the city, starts a construction company, and competes with his father's business. He uses family connections to corner Gopinath. But when Gopinath hires a killer, the confrontation becomes deadly.
