'Padikkaatha Pannaiyar' is a 1985 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by K. S. Gopalakrishnan. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, K. R. Vijaya, Y. G. Mahendra, and V. K. Ramasamy. The story follows a wealthy but uneducated landlord whose pride and distrust of schooling cause a rift with his educated son. The film is a remake of the director's own 1967 film 'Kan Kanda Deivam'. It marked K. R. Vijaya's 200th film as an actress. The soundtrack was composed by Ilaiyaraaja. The film was praised for its emotional storytelling and strong performances.

Storyline
